Scholastic Academy

Current Meadow Woods students should consider applying to the Engineering & Acceleration Scholastic Academy because it offers advanced opportunities within the familiar Stallion community. The academy creates a “school within a school”—a close-knit environment where students can find their people, build lasting friendships, and learn alongside peers who share their interests, ambitions, and curiosity.

Through the academy, students can:

• Join a supportive community of motivated students with similar goals and interests.
• Participate in engineering, aerospace, robotics, competitive mathematics, performing arts, and hands-on design challenges.
• Take accelerated courses that prepare them for advanced high school coursework and future college pathways.
• Develop real-world skills in problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, communication, and leadership.
• Compete through Robotics, Mathletics, performing arts, and other enrichment programs.
• Receive college mentoring, scholarship support, and exposure to future Dual Enrollment opportunities.
• Build meaningful relationships with teachers, mentors, and classmates who encourage them to grow.
• Prepare for high school, college, and future careers while remaining connected to Meadow Woods traditions and the larger Stallion community.

For current Stallions, the academy is more than an academic program. It is a place to belong, discover new possibilities, and grow alongside students who inspire one another to stay strong, stay ahead, and finish future ready.

If you are a fifth grader getting ready for middle school, the Meadow Woods Engineering & Acceleration Scholastic Academy can help you make sixth grade exciting, challenging, and welcoming.

The academy is like a “school within a school.” You will be part of the larger Meadow Woods Stallion community while also belonging to a smaller group of students who enjoy learning, creating, solving problems, and trying new things. It is a place where you can find your people—classmates who share your interests, encourage you, and may become some of your closest friends.

As an academy student, you can:

• Explore engineering, aerospace, robotics, math, and technology.
• Complete hands-on challenges and design creative solutions.
• Take accelerated classes that prepare you for high school and college.
• Join Robotics, Mathletics, performing arts, and other special programs.
• Build confidence as a problem-solver, teammate, performer, and leader.
• Learn from teachers and mentors who will help you reach your goals.
• Make friends with students who are curious, motivated, and excited about their futures.

You do not need to know exactly what you want to become—and you do not need to be an expert in engineering or robotics. You only need to be curious, willing to work hard, and ready to discover what you can do.

At Meadow Woods, you will not just prepare for the future. You will learn how to invent it, perform it, lead it, and shape it.

Are you a current or upcoming middle school student who loves creating, solving problems, performing, exploring technology, or challenging yourself? You can apply to join the Meadow Woods Engineering & Acceleration Scholastic Academy as a sixth grader—even if you live outside the Meadow Woods attendance zone or outside the county, or even currently attend a private, charter, virtual, or home school.

The academy gives you the opportunity to become part of the Stallion community while learning in a smaller “school within a school.” You can find your people—classmates who share your interests, celebrate your ideas, and encourage you to reach your goals.

As an academy student, you can:

• Explore engineering, aerospace, robotics, mathematics, technology, and the performing arts.
• Complete hands-on challenges and design solutions to real-world problems.
• Take accelerated courses that prepare you for advanced high school classes and future college opportunities.
• Participate in Robotics, Mathletics, performing arts, and other special programs.
• Develop confidence as a creator, problem-solver, performer, teammate, and leader.
• Build friendships with students who are curious, motivated, and excited about their futures.
• Learn from teachers and mentors who will challenge and support you.

You do not need to be an expert in engineering, robotics, or advanced academics. You simply need to be curious, ready to work hard, and excited to discover what you can accomplish.

Important Transportation Information: Families who choose the Meadow Woods Engineering & Acceleration Scholastic Academy from outside the school’s attendance zone must provide their own transportation to and from Meadow Woods each school day.
